Detailed Diabetic Eye Evaluation: common questions
How is this different from the Diabetic Eye Screen?
This evaluation is done by a Retina Specialist and adds OCT scans of the macula and optic nerve in both eyes, a macular edema assessment, and a personalised retina and glaucoma risk report with a treatment or monitoring plan.
Is an OCT scan safe?
Yes. OCT is like a CT scan for the eye, but it uses light. There is no radiation, nothing touches your eye, and it takes only a few minutes.
Is FFA (fluorescein angiography) included?
No. FFA and OCT angiography are charged separately, and only if your specialist advises them.
What if I need treatment after the evaluation?
Your report includes a clear plan. Treatment itself (laser, injections or surgery) is not part of this package. If you join Pristine Diabetic Eye360 or the Retina Care Plan within 30 days, your ₹4,999 is adjusted in full.
