BlinkBreak is a Chrome extension, developed with support from Pristine Eye Hospitals, that reminds you to rest your eyes using the 20-20-20 rule (every 20 minutes, blink and look 20 feet away for 20 seconds).
Summary
BlinkBreak does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It has no backend server, no analytics, and no account system. Everything it does happens locally in your browser.
What BlinkBreak does on your device

storage | Remembers, only for the current browser session, whether a break window is already open — so a break that’s left open doesn’t get duplicated. This is technical state only; no personal information, browsing data, or history is ever stored. |
Data collection
BlinkBreak does not use cookies, does not send any data over the network, and does not share information with any third party. No usage analytics or crash reporting is included.
Third-party links
The break screen and footer include optional links to Pristine Eye Hospitals’ website (pristineeyehospitals.com), including a “Learn about Dry Eyes” link on the congratulations screen. These links open in a new browser tab only if you click them. Once you leave BlinkBreak’s own screens, that external website’s own privacy policy applies — BlinkBreak does not control or receive any data from it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
